Also an ak beta in wood, why bother? There is no real steel ak beta to begin with, why drag out its ugly little existence with an uglier model?

Moving on this coincides with cyma's latest metal mp5s, hopefully there will be a flurry of new metal aegs by them, heres hoping for a g3.

burn all betas and up with the metal m3 :)

Blue I agree with, blue is a pretty standard colour for training devices.

Yellow I don't like at all. Yellow is really for Safety and Rescue equipment (and cluster munitions, I know, but they're being banned anyway). Bad idea lads. No cookies for Tornado today.

never thought of it that way, for me the colours are simply to find the things afterwoods :P i sprayed mine bright colours for the same reason

Bit random not really news but just came across this.....
Enter the Falcom, a remote control chopper that fires BBs!

What is it with grown men and remote control toys? Maybe it's just that we can afford them now while they were just a distant dream when we were kids? Anyhoo, here's an absolute corker that combines both guys' love of remote control helicopters and airsoft!

On sale today. I got the 2nd last one in Rathfarnham branch.

    http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/58_7078.htm

There is an IR illuminator, but they'll also work in passive mode if there's a little ambient light.

They may not be out on the floor in your local branch, ask the Manager.

    i got a set today.
i've only tested them in a closed room with no windows so far , but they are better than i expected to be honest.the ir illuminator is quite good , field of vision is a little yucky but no worse than any other type of NV that i've tried

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,341 ✭✭✭Fallschirmjager

Anyone any idea where else to get this... Usually the 'cheap' tech you can get in aldi can be found elsewhere for the same price all the time...

I think I know where you mean, but the Yellow one is a music shop AFAIK. The relevant shop is just east of it, they sell loads of comms gear ect, but I havent heard great theings about them.

I managed to pick up two of these yesterday and i have to say they are pretty crap. The housing and looks of the monocular are fine, but thats no use if it don't do what it says on the tin.
There is absoulutely no focus on mine. Now whether this is just with the two I bought I'm not sure.Even after adjusting the Diopic lens, still no better.
I've phoned up the helpline number on the box and am awaiting a call back from their technical department.
    So for now hold tight.
Greedy me bought two just in case one falls in to mud or the river in the Orchard. Ouch I was stung.

I know when you pay peanuts , you get .... yada yada yada,
    but €119 x 2 aint that cheap.

    +1

They let me off the fiver 'cos I bought a radio and throat mic there. I found out two days later how much less I could have spent elsewhere for the same gear.

Only recommended if you need something in a hurry and no one else has it in stock.

    :p:pI'm an idiot:)
just got a call back from the helpline and it turns out that you can adjust the front lens. have now tried it in a dark room and it seems to be quite reasonable. so ignore my last post. silly me. Role on night games.

Theres a DBoys gas powered Kar98 with wood out on rsov.com

    http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=3002

It says air cocking on the box but you can see the gas fill valve on the bolt.
