Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Kaunas 2 Rangers 1 (agg 2-1)

Rangers out of Europe before the Scottish season even starts. Major upset:eek:

They played really negatively and really sheite. Got what they deserved.

As the BBC Scotland analysts said the best team over the two legs went through.

No UEFA Cup either for them.

    Ouch, that's pretty bad.

They were woeful against Liverpool last week as well.

    :D:D:D

So long negative football. So many times they had the sh*te battered out of them in the UEFA Cup last season only to sneak through on the away goals rule or penalties. Karma can be a real b*tch sometimes.

Holy sh*t that is a shock. I felt it could happen but didn't seriously think it would.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,008 ✭✭✭delija_sever029

I am really shocked but as a Celtic fan and more important fan of football i am glad, they pissed me so many times with that anti football last season and this is just payback for the previous season and so much of luck they had in european competitions

Well Ruggie,I did'nt mean to spoil the anticipation of the result for anyone, thought that anyone following them would be watching the game.

He had taped the game so he could watch it later, you do know how much Rangers are a cure for insomnia right?

No worries. It's more the principle. Tbh watching rangers is like watching paint dry but i do I sometimes catch the repeats at night if i haven't watched the game...

Ah well at least they can focus on the league now.

    In related news:

    Ventspils 2 - 1 Brann Bergen

Also a third round qualifier game:

    Aalborg/Modrica v Kaunas

Aalborg presumably should be making an appearance in the Champions League for the first time in 12 years!

Even though Ventspils go out, both that result and Kaunas winning are terrible results for the Irish coefficient.

The only way to make up for this is either Drogheda beating Kiev.........

Or Pats defeating Elfsborg and then picking up some more points in the next round. Which is realistic, unlike Drogs winning.

I think Ventspil are out on the away goals.

Apologies. Note to self must read posts rather than skimming through them.
Unlucky Drogs. Other shocks BATE Borisov(Belarus) knock out Anderlecht and Anorthosis(Cyprus) take out Rapid Vienna.

    Oh and from Homer:
Climate change is a serious problem that affects us all, and we all need to make real sacrifices if we're going to beat it. Air travel is one of the main culprits in this crisis, and if we are to have any hope of beating global warming, we will have to stop making so many unnecessary short flights to places like continental Europe.

So, on behalf of the environment, I would like to say: thank you, Glasgow Rangers

I have to laugh at the fact you thought it would be best to include instructions with this one.

I would be very surprised ,if there wasn't step by step instructions on how rangers fans should behave on their easy jet plane in and out.

Would you like to see the back of it :D
