    Hi folks,

    Need a bit of advice.

Have a holiday home on the west coast (old house) and I am looking to put a sealant on the roof to protect from the elements.

Can any of ye advise me of what's available for a job like this?

Can you purchase some sort of rubber based liquid that you can paint onto the slates.

    I await your advices.

    Thanks :)

Personally I think that putting any type of liquid sealant on a roof will only work on a temporary basis, if at all. Could you give more information about the roof. What's the build up of the roof and what state of repair is in, what condition are the rafters/joists in?
