    It depends on the school. Some are back on the 1st of Septemeber but there's an option to go back a few days earlier and then have the days off during the year. You should contact the school to find out.

    I think all sec. schools are instructed to be back on the 26th August (not all years though)
    Primary schools back on the 1st of September

    Earliest I'v heard of primary schools starting back is on the 28th Aug..

    one secondary is 25th Aug, one secondary is 27 Aug and my primary is 01 Sept. Neighbours primary is 26th Aug - makes a joke of the common term times the Dept brought in.
