    been playing for 2 months now

    texas holdem

    im mad in to it

    i like to practise before i go into the serious games

    so im wondering wheres the best site for online free poker games

    (where the oppontents acutally talk to ya)
    and where some irish players play

    trust me, you dont want your opponents talking to you.

    all the the real money sites have play money tables so go to paddy power or whatever and DL it. dont expect to learn anything from the play money tables though.

    the facebook/bebo app people seem to take it semi-seriously.

    You wont learn anything from play money other than how the software works though. no risk= stupid play.

    Sign up is free.
    Play money tables are nothing like real money games, they just let you get used to the software and table mechanics.
    Any big site like PokerStars/PPP/GJP/FT has every type of play money game under the sun.

    If you want to play for money you will have to sign up with an online 'wallet' like MoneyBookers or Neteller, or register your CC on the poker site. You might have to provide a scan of ID or utility bill, more likely if you are trying to withdraw from that poker site.

    If you do want to play for money get yourself a good bonus and rakeback/loyalty bonus. PPP is poor compared to GJP I think (same network and players). Stars and FT have generic points systems. Shop around for the best deal.

    download the software, create a username, find the play money tables in the menu, pick one and gamboooool

    used to play on pokerroom.com for play money. people seem to take it more seriously than other sites long time since i played on it though

    FWIW, AFAIK Stars play money is apparently worth something, as there are freaks out there who'll pay you for Stars Play Money. No idea about rates etc. but just something to know about.
