UTV down again today, can any1 help??

    I live on Parnell st D1 and and using utv internet 3Mb, last week it was DNS server issues which are now supposed to be resolved and today they could not help me, pages take forever to load and sometimes dont load at all, this started at about 10.30am this morning, i know its not my PC cause baby is working perfect!!

    can anyone help me or know whats going on??

    Did you try using the OpenDNS DNS servers?

    These are they:
    Primary: 208.67.222.222
    Secondary: 208.67.220.220

    What windows are you running...XP?

    i have tried the servers you listed above but still the same, i dont think its a DNS issue this time cause when i use google ip: 66.102.9.147 its still slow.......

    Ah right. do you have access to another modem you could try?

    No i dont...the one im using is a ZyXEL prestige 600 series about 4 years old but never gave any trouble before, when i called utv today they said that eircom are doing upgrades in the area and this might be the cause or else their just passing the BOOK...

    Passing the book more like but with upgrades going on it's possible.
    Have a read of this if you haven't already and see if anything helps.

    Swapping the modem would at least rule it out.
