    Ok we all know VRT is a illegal tax so has any person or group brought the goverment to the courts about this tax? If so what was the judgement? We are such a sue happy nation I thought this would be sorted out years :mad:

    Import tax can be illegal - VRT is not!

    This thread has been done before loads of times. The EU does not have control over local taxation and VRT does not stop people importing vehicles - it just makes imports more expensive! Its not illegal and don't kid yourself into thinking that it is! Its unfair alright but not illegal!

    Now that VRT is wearing the CO2 Technicolour Dreamcoat, even the EU will probably find no more faults with it.

    (they had made noises to that regard before)
