Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I would like to put stone cladding on part of the front of my house and was wondering if I need planning permission to do this.

Thanks for your reply. Does this mean that I have to get full plans drawn up. Also would it be ok to put a little stone cladding on my garage at the back of the house - nobody will see it - I was also thinking of 'sticking on' a little arch with an area for potted plants. I know this sounds realy kitch but I think if I make an artifical Italian type area in my back garden I might feel better about the crap weather.

Maybe not full plans, the PA might be ok with existing and proposed elevations. Contact them to see.
As for work to the rear, it sounds like it might be exempt, but it depends on where exactly it is.

Agree with the above. PP needed for stone cladding.

As Mellor said it all depends on what and where you intend to construct to the rear. Most likely exempt but check with your local planning dept.

existing and proposed elevations should be ok, but also the PA may want an existing and propoed section to show how far the cladding will stick out.

ps : the elevations will be required along with all the other docs including application form, OS maps etc etc
