Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If a person on the dole is accepted for a uni place, can they continue to get the dole until they start the course, since they are still available for work?

Hey, if you're attending thrid level you need to have been in receipt of the payment for at least a year, if it's a fetac course you have to have received it for at least 6 months.

    Hope this helps!:D

This is true if you are applying for Back To Education Allowance (BTEA). If not the case its ok to sign on/collect payments up to the point where you register (just inform the Local SWO of the change).

If you have been signing on for the last 12 months (312 days) check with the local officer to see if you're entitled to the BTEA, they'll give you a form (BTE1) to fill out and it'll take a couple of weeks to get a decision. This link has all the relevant info.

Hope this helps, good luck with uni.
