I'v been living in waterford for a few years but haven't ever gone to a doctor here. I'm wondering who the best doc is in waterford is as i don't want to end up going to one that will jsut take the money and try get me out of there as quick as he can.

I think it'll be pretty hard to get a definitive 'best doctor' - Is it just a general practicioner you're looking for?

Where abouts are you based? I don't think I've ever been to a Doc that 'takes the money and runs'!

I can recommend Dr Triona Sliney on Parnell Street. She has other GPs working there as well, one of whom I've seen a couple of times, cannot think of her name but she's South African and very thorough.

Ah yes, the nurofen incident. agree with mossy monk and the other poster on this one.

What on earth is all this about a dodgy surgery? Would someone care to enlighten me over PM, if its actually true so I can make a judgement where to leave those dodgy looking posts above yours here or delete..

    Thanks.

Thanks for the PMs folks... Iv decided to remove the posts because they are simply to dodgy. Id love to find a way people can not recommend a doctor without causing possible problems, but ill have to check it over with an admin first.

Till then, please dont post any dodgy reviews thanks! :p

I wonder if posting poor reviews for a doctor is the same as posting poor reviews about a restaurant.
It pisses me off that I can go to a G.P and pay 50 euros but if he doesn't diagnose me correctly I don't get my cash back.
If you went to a car garage and they didn't fix your dodgy brakes but gave you a new clutch instead you'd have them up in court.
I've had back pain for 10 years and have spent 1000's to be told a different story by different doctors all the time without one of them saying..."sorry we didn't cure you like you paid us to...here's your money back"
I went to a "specialist" 4 times and paid him 170 euros every time for him to try another injection here and a different tablet there. Fixed nothing but kept charging:mad:

A lot of the so-called 'professional classes' are actually only interested in money rather than their profession. The deem themselves responsible enough to 'self regulate' which is code for shielding the incompetent. In the 1940's doctors blackmailed the British government to try to scupper the creation of a National Health Service. I can understand how boards might be worried about the legal implications of reviewing doctors poorly.

I can positively recommend doctor wilson from the keogh practice in ballybricken however.

CAtriona Mooney in the Medical Center in Barronstrand St. By a very long margin the best GP I've ever had.

Dr. Patricia Devlin in Ardkeen is great, I'm always confident when I go into her office I'm going to be listened to and not shrugged off or giving old timey advice.

Cyril Murray in Kilcohan. Class Doctor. I've been to a good few over the years. he's the best by a long long way.

If polish painters are so recommended maybe you could try polish doctors

    http://www.ballybricken-clinic.eu/www/en/index.html

    or the second one:

    http://www.euromed.ie/ on Carn Glas

There must be somebody who tested them already:D
