    Hey,does anyone know what's the best camcorder to get in the summer sales. I'm just looking for something to record kids birthdays etc. Even can you tell me what to look out for, digital zoom etc.

    Can anyone tell me from their experience if a hard drive based camcorder is best or dvd based?
