Ordered something successfully 4 hours ago with a voucher that was sent out this morning. Just set up a spoof account to get another voucher and it seemed to work (although I didnt go the whole way through to the checkout)

Hi, first post to boards.ie for me but I thought it was worth sharing my experience.
Ordered 4 CDs and a Wii game from CD WOW. First of all it said that everything was in stock while after I confirmed the order it came out that all CDs were on back order (availability was the only reason why I had order from them anyway). Secondly my Wii game order was stopped at Irish customs and I was charged a 28% import duty on the item (VAT + a holding charge). It wasn't clear to em that they ship out of New Zeland!!!
Had I ordered from any other European vendor I would've received in same or less time and with no additional import tax.

PErsonally, I thought they were misleading and will NEVER order from them again nor would I recommend them to anybody... but that's just my 2 cents.
