Prebooking iPhones

Does anyone know anywhere I can prebook an iPhone 3G now? I didn't want to bother getting one at launch (OK, I lie - I didn't have the money), and now they're unavailable anywhere.

I've been into a few shops, and they seem neither to take prebookings nor to know when they're actually getting the phone into the store.

Sorry if this should be in the super-iPhone thread - mods, feel free to merge...

Thanks for the help, anyhow. Yeah, well the O2 stores have told me that they'll be getting the phones in on Saturdayprobably, while Carphone Warehouse recently downgraded from Middleofaugust to Sometimeinseptember. I'll keep my eyes out online as well.
