I'm thinking of starting a Baseball club/Team in sligo.

Looking to see if any one would be interested.

I played in a Baseball & Softball team when I was at school back in Japan.
But I haven't played since. I have a few spare gloves and ball's.

    Any one?

Not really something I'd do myself (requires movement and effort and stuff) but best of luck with it.

Awwww I was awesome not terrible at softball back in Canada. When I was 12.

    Too bad I'm moving.
    It's fun though :D

If I wasn't moving, I'd give it a go. I would have been absolutely terrible though FYI.

If all else fails, make sure the pitch hits you. You get on base free that way.

    :D

Ireland is pretty overcrowded in the team sports area already, what with soccer, gaelic football, hurling, rugby etc.
Tried baseball years ago. Really wanted to love it, but had to give up. I just found it tedious. Good luck though.

    Yeah, I thought so :p
I just love the game of Baseball/Softball too much

Well there are Baseball teams/league in Dublin.
But I doubt that the club/Team would reach competition level.
Besides I suck not that good any ways.
So we would probably play amongst ourselves.

That is unless every one wants to train really, really hard?

Any way it was just a thought.

My glove is in Canada :( (Rightfully so, actually, since it's my dad's old glove...)

I'd love to play catch though. It's been years.

This is the baseball dream team that you are looking for. Enjoy the moments. Damn I really miss Deep Space Nine (DS9)

Train really hard? Even some of the pros have beer guts.:D John Kruk, Tony Gwynn and Kirby Puckett to name a few (nevermind Babe Ruth).
You should stick up a few notices in the sports complex, maybe the I.T. come September. You might be suprised. There's always people who are crap at other sports looking to try something different.:p Really though, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get a couple of dozen people interested. Remember. Build it and they will come:pac::D
