Why can't Daunt Square be better than it is? It could be like our Times Square if you are prepared to push your mind a bit.

At the moment iot seems to attract a lot of drunk people and troublemakers but it should be buzzing withg activity all of the time and perhaps even considered the very epicentre of the city with lots of colour and lights.

The buildings around there are beautiful to look at, you have the McDonalds one and the Queens Old Castle complex. It could be fantastic.

    Anyone else think the same?

Pedestrianise the City Centre for a start.(except for public transport & goods deliveries, no private cars like Skobe Autos &commuter traffic polluting the place.).

A sort of "freedom trail" like they have in Boston would be good too. You could walk through the city with signs in the footpaths to bring you to tall historic sights. It'd get more people out there ya know.

It would be great to brighten the area up a bit and make it a more attractive area in the city, because as you have said, it does seem to attract drunks and troublemakers.

The freedom trail idea you suggest is a good idea. Isn't there a historical tour some nights in the city? this could easily tie in with it.
