This is a long shot lads but my car has developed a leak in the boot with no obvious source. It has gone to the point where I can no longer put anything into it. The car is a 206, but just wondering are peugeots or in particula 206's known for leaking in a particular spot. Any advice on how to track the source of it would be much appreciated.

    Dave

You could try putting in a new rubber insulation around the boot or strengthen the old one with some silicone?

Check to see if the back lights are loose...if they are tighten them up.

If there not tight they cant form a seal with the body and water will seep in..

check which side is worst affected, remove the lamp, clean the surrounds, add sillicone replace,

It's probably dirt around the rubber sealing of the boot, try cleaning it if it is.

Another place worth looking is the rear wash wipe hose/nozzle. If the hose is split or off altogether then you could be pumping the water in yourself whenever you try wash the back window.

all the seals have to be checked, take all/any plastic in the booth away and see if theres any seepth water as im Sickto detah of having to do this, find piles of hidden Dangerous rust and spepnd hours removing it.

brake light seals... hatch seals, also, if its the 3dr, make sure the rear windows are completely sealed.

Before checking any of the boot/door seals etc above just check the back lights to make sure they are fitted correctly.

To replace a rear bulb in a 206 you have to open the 10mm nut in the inside of the boot and remove the unit from the car. Perhaps a bulb was changed the the lights not fitted correctly.
