    Hey all

Currently in the last few weeks of a year away and heading back to good ol limerick.

From reading the limerick post and watching the irish news online it seems as if things have gone to hell economically wise.

So just wanted to get a feel from people at home is it really as bad as they are making it out or is there still jobs to be had??

    Looking forward to the input

    Thanks.

media are partly to blame etc, but there is a definite slowdown. depends what you want to work in really. business closest attached to building industries are suffering most, and factories are second. the flipside is this is encouraging a lot of the migrant workers to leave so there will be jobs about for irish again. Are you qualified in any area?

Worked the tourism industry for years and have a degree in IT but willing to do anything for a change just to see.

Good to hear its a lot of media blasting though.

as said above it is really only the construction industry that has been hit, no less than anywhere else. but it will take time for it to ripple through all other sectors... but it's the same everywhere else!
