    hi,guys,

i am just wondering that how to be a assistant accountant?i just graduated from college with hounour 2.2 degre in accounting & finance. and i got 9 exemptions of ACCA(F1 to F9), i am doing ACCA course in BPP now. for last 3 months i sent lots of my CV to employer via a few job websites(jobs.ie/irishjobs.ie), never get any responses from any of them, thus

1)i am just wondering what i should do to get a proper job as a assistant accountant?(any other way i can use to find a job like that?)

2)what kind of jobs can be taken as part of ACCA requirement, beside assistant accountant (three years experiences)?

thanks millions for any sort of advices?:confused::confused:

    No. No. No.

The best way to get an accounting job is to go through the specialist recruitment agencies.

I'm thinking Accreate, Brightwater, Hays , etc etc. Send them your CV with a cover letter, and take advantage of their expertise.

my friend. i have sent my CV to all accounting agencies..some of them are accreate, Robert half, recuritment plus, eden, symbio select ltd they registered but never gave me call back..:o.. but like Premier, Accounting solutions, MARYB, 1800 and few more ..They never replied me..they are looking for exeprience...:(

one incident..i went to Grafton recruitment..the lady got my CV she did not check my 3 A on my CV and she just turned the page and said you do not have experince in accounting... no job... apply directly...i was f..k..g angry...

the best way is to run your contacts or wait until market kool down and there will be more jobs.:D

thats the problem. But everything depends on your luck. If you have luck you will get job very easily but in mine case. i am out of luck....

The best thing to do is apply through both agencies and directly to employers (via jobs.ie, irishjobs.ie & monster.ie). Start/continue with your ACCA exams. Perhaps if you have not had success getting a job to date, you should get someone to look at your CV as it may need to be formatted in a different way.
