Boost O2 signal?

I've recently moved into a new house which is a little outside of Athlone. The problem I'm having is that I cannot get an O2 signal whilst in the house however a few of my friends who are with Vodafone have no problems getting a signal in the house. I can get a pretty strong signal once I walk out the front or back doors…

I can get a pretty strong signal once I walk out the front or back doors and wanted to check if there is any device I can get which would take the signal from outside and boost it within the house? Not sure if this is possible or even why the signal isn't making it's way into the house in the first place but with the rain we've been having recently I'm tired of having to run out to the car any time I need to make a phonecall!

Any advice would be appreciated. I've just recently signed a new contract with O2 so I can't simply switch to Vodafone.
