    Hi,

    Can anyone help!!!

Our S joint (or whatever its called) under the sink came loose last nite and we had the dishwasher and washmachine on and the place got soaked. The floor in the kitchen is a laminate wooden floor with a cork undermat. The cork is comletely soaked to the opposite wall 1.2m away from origin.

The floor is now startin to swell at the joints and I havent got a clue what to do. Have the heater on since but this is not doin anything as it is not local to the problem.

    Any suggestions...

Taking up the floor in that area would be the last option preferably....

you could try a large dehumidefier
(from most tool hire shops)they work very well but
the sooner its used the better the results,a neighbour of mine
had a similar problem a while back and he removed the outermost strip of flooring to allow for swelling to take place without buckling-it seemed to work.

go to argos or b&q they have them on sale for less than 100euro

alternatively put papers down, they'll soak up a lot and renew regularly

    don't take up the floor!!!
