Mocks vs. LC

Got 440 in mocks and 400 in leaving, feel very hard done by and im gotta get some rechecked.

I know someone who went down 160 points in the leaving cert compared to the mocks haha

I went up 60 points from 430 to 490!

English: D1, leaving cert A2


2 medicine candidates in our year got 580 and 590 respectively in the mocks,

real thing: 545 and 505, very disappointing.

you see i did a portfolio for an art college nd got 260 add that to my lc points and got like 705. the coure is 780....
I got an A1 in the mocks Art and B1 in the leaving so I thought id get higher in my portfolio and get my 1st choice therefore throwing down any thing underneath that...
now im f***ked I couldnt bear missing out of 1st year college with all my friends and be stuck 3hours away from the city.(thats how far the drive is:(
but then again missing out on one year is better than doing a four year course that I dont like........
yeah I better look into plc courses but if I put a Course I wanted second knowing that i would be clear of getting it by 50 points is gutting!

MY ADVICE TO ANY 5TH YEARS : spend time doing your cao and expect the unexpected :(:(

hmm.. mine all went up , biggest one was English C3-A2, so unpredictable. Bit of a joke really, since a friend of mine got the same score as me in English in mocks and failed it in the leaving.

I went up nearly 200 points from the mocks.
Biggest leap was maths, got an E in the mocks, and a B3 in the LC

Mocks: 280...I honestly can't remember my individual results...I think it was mainly Ds and a B2 in English
Leaving Cert: 420...A1 in English!

140 points mark-up is not bad at all

I went up by 15 points overall.
Dropped in one subject from an A2 to a C1...:mad:

French was the most welcome change: C2 to an A2! Absolute shock when I saw that result!
