Anyone know what is going on there just before the M50 underpass? They're remodelling the junction with an access to the property adjacent to it. A block of apartments or something?

They've been fiddling around with that stretch of road for years. Bit of the bridge, bit of pavement, dig up the road, etc. Speaking as a Cyclist that stretch of road from the Carpenter to Castleknock College is a disgrace. It needs a new surface and cycle lanes.

yeah looks like theyre setting up an extension to this junction for a new housing estate or appartments or something on that line.

I assumed that the works were part of the redevelopment of Garrynock/Sunday's Well, but the FCC website says that planning permission was refused.

A trench was dug to bring the water main from the junction we're talking about to College Fort and then to the new apartments on White's Road. The section outside Castleknock College is really bad.
I doubt that cycle lanes will be added because the roads are relatively narrow.

But the grass verge is really wide and theres a deep hedgerow that cleaned up could give you some room.
