Focus Tdci Problems

    I have a 2003 Ford Focus 1.8Tdci and it has started flashing the heater plug light on the dash and only revving to 3000revs and the turbo doesnt work. When the car is switched off and on it goes back to normal.
    Has anyone else had the same problems?

    It could be any number of problems (with the fuel system) - the car is going into "limp-home-mode" to minimise any damage you do.

    Bring it to someone with the correct diagnostic equipment - preferably a ford dealership unless you know someone who is very good with modern ford diesels.
