A Great Mix in Store at Féile an Fhómhair.
The programme of events planned for Carlow’s own Féile an Fhómhair was announced last week and a great mix is promised. The popular autumn bilingual festival takes place from 7th to 15th October and this year’s theme is Ceiliúradh Cheatharlach / Celebrating Carlow. The attractive programme features music, song, dance, drama, literature,ar, film and fun.
There’s Sean-Nós dancing, poetry, storytelling and three book launches as well as film, choral singing, a bilingual lunch date with Labour Party Leader Eamon Gilmore T.D. and a fabulous Concert of local talent in aid of Carlow Hospice to be staged in the brand new G.B. Shaw Theatre on Saturday, 10th October at 8:00pm.
A wealth of entertainment, talent, participation and celebration to look forward to over a whole nine days of Féile an Fhómhair ‘09.

Don’t miss it! Further information, ticket reservations and free festival programme from Glór Cheatharlach on <snip> or to download from www.glorcheatharlach.ie

Keep an eye out for the local talent concert, will be excellent, also the west Kerry author Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé (father of Dáithí) is launching a book on the last woman to be hanged in Carlow jail.
He is a great musician too, so the craic should be great.

It is. You walk directly down the road outside the station, turn left and it's about 200 or so metres on your left. You'll see the gate and you can see the the Arts Centre from there.

Trying to get this off the ground in Carlow so anyone interested have a look at the poster and get your name into John in Carlow library. I have attached the poster on here but it lacks one vital bit of info- we provide grub for the day:)
Two other things 1) the date on this poster was for the original workshop but due to lack of interest it was cancelled, new date tbc once we have enough people onboard. 2)The price on the poster is wrong, its only 100euros for the day. Should have changed it but for to, sorry!

I am co-ordinating a fashion and beauty event in the
Killerig Resort Hotel. Formally the Ramada hotel, Tullow, Castledermot Rd, Carlow.

    The event is Sunday May 30th 2pm - 6pm.

It is in aid of the Haven Partnership Charity, Build it Week in Haiti.

    Admission is €5 for public.

I am currently looking for a nail technician, maybe a start up technician, thats looking for a new custmers or a chance to promo their business.

At the moment I have local hairdressers, and make up artists giving demo's, advice, trials, taking bookings and meeting potential new customers.

If you or someone you know is a nail tech, and would like to get involved I would be delighted to have them at the event.
The event is over 4 hours so you have the chance to earn some cash by doing quick treatments, polish, manicure or whatever.
We are marketing the event that everything is under €50 and affordable.
So if you are doing any treatments keep them cheap!

The event is an expo of Beauty, Fashion, Make-up and Hair .
There will be fashion shows through out the day from high street lables, make up from SmashBox and coverage from all local print and radio media.
Once Worn & Sample stock of designer and high street lables, EVERYTHING UNDER €50!

This is a prime opportunity to promo your business, and its free to attend.
Due to the fact that its a charity event, we are asking all businesses attending if they could donate a small prize for the customer raffle.

Please PM me if you are interested,
    Regards
    Donna

    Hi,

Myself and my friend cheryl from Carlow are going to India to work with the street children of Calcutta. We are doing this through the Hope foundation. In order for us to raise money (7000) we are organising a Vintage Road Run & Rally in the Tullow Show grounds Co. Carlow on the 25th of July.
It is going to be a great fun family day out with lots of attractions, stalls and entertainment throughout the day.
If anyone would like to participate with their own vintage cars, tractors or stalls please let us know.
