    How long ago was that?

At least 10 years ago, seemed to be a regular in DUB for maintenance back then.

Ah VP-BAT, I remember it flying near Naas at a very low level on a test flight, was some sight from the M7!

Must have been a few years ago, ex-Pan Am bird. What a beauty!

    Lovely pic!

A9C-HMK has been in Hamburg since the first week of January, presumably for maintenance. Did a little test hop earlier this week.

Perhaps in to Dublin for a paint touch-up?

Hey guys, I'm new on boards. I have a few questions to ask some of you experts. I enjoy plane spotting and following on flightradar but I'm planning on going to Dublin to do a bit of spotting some day soon. My questions are:

1 What is the best day of the week to go spotting, as in what is the busiest day for aircraft, and for different aircraft coming in and leaving apart from Aer Lingus and Ryanair.

2 Do any 747's land in Dublin or is the 777 the biggest aircraft to land in Dublin.

    Thanks

You can check the next 24 hours of arrivals on the DAA web-site

The Dublin Airport Movements blog is another great source for the more unusual visitors.

747s still arrive occasionally but not on a regular basis.
    Hope this helps

B747's are a rarity at DUB. Emirates bring in their B777, mostly its A330's and B767's for the widebodies.

I can't think of any day busier than the others. The majority of the daily schedule is identical all week.
Obviously if you want a particular flight/aircraft you will need to know its schedule.

Late morning/early afternoon covers the widebodies to the US, they arrive in very early and depart from 1000-1300 and 1400-1600.

0700-0900 will give you near continual B737/A320 movements.

Good evening guys. Just joined the board. I am currently sat in the lounge in terminal 2 at Dublin Airport staring out at Etihad A6-EYR, and have been for the last hour or so. I was hoping to log from here before flying back to Cardiff tonight at 1930, it appears that binoculars are kinda frowned upon here so not wanting to upset anyone (or embarrass the wife and daughter who are travelling with me I am watching all movements from a distance.
Anyone able to advise a site that can provide full.movements from 1610 - 1900 today please? Many thanks in advance for any advice or help you are able to offer me. Really frustrating sitting here as you can imagine. Thanks again all. Mark

Thanks Kenny. I did look at that but it only gave me biz and rare visitors and I really need an SBS report type list for all movements between 1600 and 1900, I still need some RYR and I saw some LH movements also as well as confirmation on EI/EI Regional regs.

Could the AF 744F return next week?

It is quite a rarity to see one at EIDW, as the other AF Cargo 744Fs are currently in srorage, and flight AF6735 is mainly flown by 777F equipment these days. From what I have gathered, this was the first visit of the Air France Cargo 747 to Dublin in a while.

However, I would like to see one for one last time, before they are retired along with the passenger Air France 747s very soon.
