I don't understand this past-time or am I having a go at anyone for doing something that they enjoy but what is the point of it all generally?
Probably more of a question regarding life than plane spotting but can anyone shed some light on it, the plane spotting? :)

as you say it is just a past-time like fishing or bird-watching. It can be exiting to see something rare such as the Bahrain 747 due this morning.

Why do some people like cars ?

Why do some people like shoes ?

Why do some people like graphic books ?

Why do some people like computer games ?

Each to their own I guess, and it can be hard/difficult to explain.

It won't be A9C-HAK the SP, she's been stored since April. The new A9C-HAK is a 747-400, it was re registered 2 weeks ago

Such a pity, I was really looking forward to seeing the SP. One of my favourite variants of the 747.

I am so gonna show this quote to my wife!!!

    A9C-HAK is the reg.

    B747-400 ex A6-YAS

    https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/Boeing/747/28961/A9C-HAK-Bahrain-Amiri-Flight

So this was originally destined for Philippines Airlines (PAL) but the order was not taken up. F6 is Boeing code for PAL.

The only thing better than a -400 is a -SP :):)

http://www.747sp.com/747sp-production-list/ shows that there are only 13 of them left in service.

Wow, A9C-HAK was built in 1987, thats about 5 years later than the previous one, so it was a really special order.

Just checked there, she is line number 676, the last 747SP built, and she was built in 1989.

Well today was an eventful planespot for me. I got a good video of the 744 and it's uploading now, but as I was walking to the car I got dizzy, and for the first time in my life I fainted, at the Dublin airport spotters hill. Lol

It's here to be painted so it will be in for at least a week, I'd say.
