Anyone know what these Qatar 340s are here for? We've had a few of them lately but they don't seem to stay long enough for any proper maintenance work? Do love to see them I must admit.

According to Airfleets.net, Qatar only have 4 A340-600

Will the other two show up tomorrow and Thursday?

    Thank you.

I heard 5 are coming through! They will fly one in when the other is finished in the hanger due space I would presume. So only one at a time.

Seen a DL 763 arriving at DUB around 14.00. Assume it was a medical diversion.

    Edit: Listed here:http://notam-ireland.blogspot.com/

October Traffic dropped 10% compared to October 2010. Ryanair cuts, Domestic Traffic and lather Mid Term had a big impact but 10% in quiet worrying. Would expect the whole winter to have sharp drop to.

Where is the repaint facility located?
Is it that big building near the "Airport roundabout"?
    The SR Technics building?

No. That is Hanger 6 is now being used for EI maintainence and HQ functions.

The QR A340's are painted in the Eirtech hanger. I am not sure which 1 though.

This pic of Dublin airport is a bit awful but you can see the 5 hangers running from the top left to the centre. H6 is to the right while T2 is in the forground.

Ok, thank you for that. I looked at their web site and on that it point out their location at the parking house...anyway, I guess it is the hangar close to the terminal 1, near the bridge.

I assume that their is no good place to stand and get a good view.

Does anyone know what going on with theeatingplace resturant in the mezz. I was up there today (11:00) for a hour spotting but it was shut down. Table and chair near Starbucks are gone. This spot is my usual spot for spotting and it a place where you could get free refill of tea coffee and fizzy drink.

I thought it was all EK but on second thoughts it could be UA. Whilst they have a desk there already in the form of CO they may not want to muddy the waters by mixing the two. CO have very good brand awareness in Ireland and a huge amount of the travelling public would have no idea the two are merged.

Painting aircraft in CO colours with United titles will have muddied the waters as it is,

In fairness the aircraft look more CO than UA. The first thing to catch most peoples eye is the tail and in this case it still carries the distinctive CO logo. Then again, most people travelling couldn't care less what colour the metal is once it gets them to their destination.

UA/CO are all one now, operating licence granted yesterday. The IAD flights are operated by CO under CO flights numbers so don't see why UA would need a desk when CO are doing them.
