Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I aint downloaded the demo yet. Is it anything like episode one on the playstation?

    OXM Magazine gave it 7.5/10. A little lower than I had hoped but not a disaster by any means.

    I agree with Vegeta in that the moves are great but the execution is very hit and miss. Having said that it could be just a case of getting used to it. We shall see...

    7.5 isn't a bad review. It's a B3 in Leaving Cert terms :)

    It lost out due to the QTE's and the lack of multiplayer. I don't have too much trouble with the QTE's really and I couldn't care less about multiplayer so it seems ok to me....

    This is what I hate about reviews. It's being marked down what what it doesn't have. The game was never intended to be multiplayer. It's a single player game, that's very story driven. Did anyone complain that KotOR didn't have MP? Fair enough about the QTEs. That's a gameplay function that is a valid reason to knock it down for but knocking it down for something that isn't in the game, nor was ever supposed to be? That's silly. It's like me not liking my car because I wanted it have have a rocket engine.

    The Wii version will have multiplayer. It'll be kind of annoying if it turns out to be awesome, since we'll have missed out on it.

    I find QTEs very hit and miss. RE4 got them right, they weren't too easy or too hard. They just added tension to cutscenes. Spider-Man 3's were too hard. I seem to remember a large sequence before or after the fight with Harry that made me angry. Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary had overly easy ones, they seemed like an afterthought. The one in the demo was fine, too hard or too easy. I'll wait until I see more before RE4 loses its QTE crown though!

    Or an A in college terms. Still. A 7 is about right I think from my impressions of the demo. It could be brought down however if the story turns out to be brutal.
