Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I am toying with the idea of an attic conversion to rent out to offset a portion of the mortgage.
Before I do and go and talk to an engineer i am wondering what the basic guidelines are just in case its a total waste of time or impossibility -
I imagine for an attic dwelling there are strict rules regarding ceiling height ventilation and fire escape.
Does anyone know of a (easy to read) document with these rules are written or happen to know of the top of their head any of the main guidelines when creating a dwelling area upstairs?
    thanks
