Porn is porn. That link was porn and porn isnt allowed on Boards - I dont even think Slydice allows porn. (Isnt there a song about the internet being about porn, anyone?)

Fair ban - I would have assumed posting porn is a general no-no anyway!!

    Quote Stark the Mod again....

Afaik, the policy on NSFW pics is it's okay to link to most NSFW pictures (within reason) as long as you tag it clearly as NSFW. It's not okay to embed a NSFW image in a post.

I read the form charter before posting and this didn't seem to brake the rules....

Ah come on Sully that's not porn...If that was the case you'd need id to buy the Sun

Thats a different type of NSFW pic... Didnt Spider get banned for posting non-nude pics of him in the bathtub (sorry to bring the image back in your mind folks!) even tho it was labelled NSFW? No?

I was under the impression that Boards could never allow porn on the site - as you have to be over 18 to view/watch any type of porno and this site is open to 13+

yeh sully is right tbh, but i think if the image way edited to take out the nipples it would have been fine, seen that type of pics on boards all the time.

And how can Cool_CM get away with the above link....that's way more porngraphic and offencive than Quinnie...I'm sure it would scare 13 year old..

    Boobs aren't Porn....

Its irrelevent weather you think they are or not.

The line on boards for years has been exposed nipples. The pic crosses it.

This is what it says in the After Hours Charter,
    Porn
    - Topics/posts containing such will be deleted on sight. This is a severe offence. The minimum ban handed out will be one month. Permanent bans will also be handed out for this. If you are linking to an external website that might contain "newspaper" nudity or contains sexual reference, please make sure you mark it "Not safe for work"

I labelled it NSFW, it makes no mention of nipples...

This is a fair point, it references "newspaper" nudity, which is what that picture is in fairness.

Selective reading doesnt help your case :p

The first half of the post says posting of general born is a serious offense. It then goes onto say if its just mini porno that you might see in non-over 18 media such as the paper (excluding page3 of the sun) then it must be labeled.

I highly doubt ill open the Irish Times, The Indo or The Examiner and see that type of picture!! Shes completely topless.

Go away out of it that type of porno wouldn't be seen in the bulk of Irish newspapers (excluding some **** papers)

If by "sh!t" you mean tabloid, then yes, yes it would. Page 3 girls, the latest snaps of some skanky celeb topless on a beach, we've all seen it.

There was a local Kerry or Cork newspaper that published a picture of a Gaa player who's erect penis popped out of his shorts during a game a year or two ago, but I definately won't be posting any links to that!

My interpretation of the charter is that you mark something as NSFW if it's a link to a non-porn article/image on a website that is likely to have some porn elsewhere on the page. If you know you're definitely linking to porn, then you probably shouldn't post it at all.

Anyway, it doesn't matter exactly what the wording means. You violated the spirit and intention of the charter if not the letter of the law.

    imo

Well.. I think redtops are ****e because they dont offer any news. The porno is to intice people to buy it. :p Its good for Soccer tho.

Doesnt The Sun only publish nudity?

Boobs are allowed, if it's art but even then that's Photography, etc. and not AH.
They weren't art*. They're rather lame soft-core. I remember seeing the link and don't see any 'NSFW' tag.
We can discuss the charter all day long, but it's really your lack of cop-on that got us here. The ban won't be overturned by me.

*No, really. Shut up. They're not. End of discussion.

Christ are you serious? Christ, that's a typical redtop news story (local news often follow redtop style press)

    No porn.

    No tits.

    Not even artsy types.

There are hundreds of thousands of places to get your eyeful of breasts on the web. Go there instead.

Anything which could even remotely get someone into trouble at work - gory images, scantily clad women, etc - should be marked NSFW. Anything that could get someone fired, such as rotten.com, porn/artsy nudity (including suicide girls), to name but two examples, will often result in a siteban. It depends on my mood and the level of retardation of the poster.
