Can anyone tell me what emissions band the Mercedes C270 CDI Avantgarde (2002 model) falls under and what the road tax will be? I have a s/s here listing all makes/models, their respective bands & new/old VRT rates.....except this particular one.

    Thanks.

    According to the VRT calculator:

A manual version has a Co2 rating of 181g and falls into the 28% VRT bracket.

    MAKE: MERCEDES-BENZ
    MODEL: C270
    VERSION: CDI AVANTGARDE 04DR / SALOON / MANUAL / DIESEL /
    CO2 EMISSIONS:

    OPEN MARKET SELLING PRICE: €15493
    RATE OF TAX: 28%
    VEHICLE REGISTRATION TAX:
    (payable on enquiry date)
    €4338

The automatic version polutes more and falls into the 32% VRT bracket:

    DATE: 19 August 2008 TIME: 11:18 STATISTICAL CODE: 40689887
    MAKE: MERCEDES-BENZ

No problem, just remember that the VRO don't always go by the VRT calculator. The car's UK V5 document should have the correct Co2 rating to be sure.

Hey Madds why don't you just go onto the revenue.ie website and check out for yourself rather than getting others to do it...............lazy or what!
