I’m not one for betting in Friendly games but I think England should win tonight.
The Czechs are over rated in my book and don’t have a great away record in Friendly games. England under Capello have been strong in these type of matches and it seems that Capello uses these games as a confidence builder for the England players and fans.

So it’s England to win tonight for me. All be it marginally
    30 @ 1.68 returns 50 ish

No one in this thread made money it seems (myself included though I did not lose it all either).

    Mike had you any winners?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I did 8 games and betted using 4 folds, two results were bad uns (Israel and Italy) so got about 60% of my stake back.

Now im a bit slow but wat is a 4 fold??

Its a way of betting that involves several bets in one - the odds are worse than a straight accu but you will get some money back if most of your selections work.

    Is it like a lucky 15/31 ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

No, Lucky 15/31 is the best bet really. If say 4 events out of 5 are successful you can make a decent return, the 4 folds/5 folds really needs all full house to give a good % return on football type odds (horses work better as a typical odds are 3/1, 4/1 not 1/3, 1/4).

In hindsight I would agree but I felt at the time that both Lippi and Capello would be eager to impress. I was watching the Italian match and it was an utter joke. Italy's first goal was a defender who just bolloxed the ball into Gilardino and for the second one the Austrian keeper punched the ball into his own net. Very bad stuff
