Nokia 6124 Start Up Tone

    Hi all

    Does anyone know how to switch off the start up tone on the nokia 6124 ?

    I've looked in the manual, in the phone settings and even tried googling it but i can't figure it out, maybe it can't be switched off ?

    Are you referring to the nokia handshake/tune when it starts? it cant be switched off but you can get round it in 2 ways

    1. press the hangup button as the phone powers on it bypasses it.
    2. on a silent profile the handshake still happens but theres no sound.

    yeah it's the startup/handshake tune i want to get rid of well specificially the tune !

    thanks for your help but on my old phone i used to be able to turn off the tune from the phone settings, guess i can't do anything like that on this one only the things u suggest ?
