Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sky Freezing!!! HELP!!!

    Hi fellow Sat people,

    I have a Pace sky + box, installed 6 months ago. Im in Mayo heres the problem.

    Only in the last day or two, i have noticed on some channels after turning over to them and after about 5-6 seconds the picture freezes, sound and all.

    1, Anything recorded plays perfectly,
    2, RTE 1 for eg is freezing like crazy. same for Sci Fi, but BBC 1 is ok, so is Sky news. something maybe with subs channels possibly.
    3, if on RTE 1 and i pause it before it freezes and play with a delay of about a few seconds its grand. so the playback/recording is all ok,
    4, its just happening when i watch live subs channels,

    Anyone else have this problem, I am going to update the firmware, but does anyone know if this affects any recordings on the HD or any of the programs lined up for recording.

    Firstly what is the signal quality and strenght on your box?
    You can check these by pressing services at the top of your remote
    then no 4 and then no 6

    You will notice 2 lines the further they fill to the right the better.

    Something that often helps the freezing issue is to switch the instant rewind option on your box. To do this :

    Press services on the remote
    press no 5
    highlight instand rewind and move to the left to switch off and then save...

    see how you get on
