Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    EXCLUSIVE

Being brought up on the ISS/PES series playing the game on the classic Playstation controller, the D-Pad was the only way to play the game. Sadly, when I moved up in the world to the XBox 360 and the 360 controller I found the D-Pad a tad bit useless forcing me to switch to analogue.

Thankfully, Microsoft have listened to the comments and surveys on PESFan and have redesigned the controller!

    - Xbox 360 released a limited-edition green-coloured Xbox 360 wireless controller available while supplies last now at retailers in Europe and Latin America
    - The new green wireless controller offers enhancements to D-Pad functionality, which will add to the experience of playing certain games where the D-Pad is the primary control mechanism
    - Konami will debut the wireless controller with “Pro Evolution Soccer 2009” at Leipzig today

A while back, a survey was posted asking for your thoughts and playing habits. Based on the results of that survey, Microsoft concluded that the design of their D-Pad wasn't up to scratch and set about correcting that. The result, is this.

lthough the pads looks the same on the outside, the important work has taken place on the inside. With diagonal controls now possible, this new D-Pad will eventually be incorporated into all 360 controllers, not just the green controllers.
The best part of this is that as a result of PESFan members, Microsoft have gone and listened to what we are asking for and provided!

Now, with PES going back to its roots this new controller can help you relive those classic experiences!

Eurogamer seems to have picked up on the new 360 controller seen in action at Leipzig, so we thought it was time to announce what part PESFan played in it's development.

Many thanks to the people at Microsoft who are sending a couple of controllers over for us to test, so you can have some feedback soon on how much of a difference they really make.

They are making it as standard. The only thing 'limited edition' is the green aspect of the controller.

Does it matter where you get your Control pads?

I was thinking of maybe getting one of them SC IV fighting stick controllers when in America, should it work over here?

:) This marketing spin is like Sony announcing adding Rumble to their controllers for PS3 - it's something that should have been there anyway :)

    Welcome to 1992, Microsoft :D
