Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd imagine that was the plan.

What they should do obioulsly is compare both shows 4.30-6.30, thats very unfair for the advertisers as Mary Wilson and Des Cahill have very different listerners and different demographics.

Anybody know Ray Foley's listenership figures?

No exact numbers, but according to the Sunday Business post, he dropped 11% on the quarter hour measurement, one of the highest Today FM presenter losses. This was considerably higher than the station's average loss in this area, which was 7%

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,647 ✭✭✭✭Fago!

I've just found out Ray Foley dropped 8000 listeners to 165,000.

Good stats here. But no Local radio stats,

    http://www.radiowaves.fm/newsstand/irishexaminer/090213jnlr.gif

ANybody know listership figures for Fm104 and Dublins 98? individual DJs figures, Not market share percentage and the like. All that Jibber Jabber confuses me.

I'd be interested in the Morning Crew on 98 and Mark Noble on 104's figures. Or KC on Red Fm in Cork?

Ha ha. Just seen this on RedFm's website... As if...

The Red Rooster is the number 1 breakfast show in Cork for 15-34 year olds with an impressive 3.5 million people tuning in daily for such features as Rooster funny bits, Celebrity Swear Jar, Lenny's Link, Showbiz bits, TV bits with Sheena from entertainment.ie, Kids in the Car, Bridie Mary, Pat the faker, the Munster Munchkins, Celebrity guests, live sessions, and worlds best and worst comedians.

Again... impressive 3.5 million people tuning in daily

    Hahahahahaha

hi Fago, it's very hard to compare any of the above shows you mentioned, 98, 104 and Cork. I assume you're asking as the rules of the Meteors claim that voting is based on the shows TAP.

98's brekkie and 104's drive are not comparable as they're different times, it's even hard to compare 98s drive and 104's drive as like for like, the two shows start at different times but reach for reach as you compare both drive gigs, 104 are nearly 40,000 ahead of 98.

As a reach total based in purely 'how many punters does each show pull in' I think 98 are somewhere in mid 80s, 104's drive is close on 80, I don't know about Red though.

Eamon Keane up 37% Sheesh. :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,726 ✭✭✭✭DMC

But from a seriously low figure, Mike. 43,000 listened to him before? It's poor. If you split the difference between Ronan Collins and the News at One, they have over 4 times the audience.
How many of those go to Newstalk for 12-1, and go to back to Radio 1 at 1pm, might explain things.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Ronan Collins is indeed prolly the man Eamon should thank ;)

Absolutely, I do that myself betimes.

Might be a tad off topic but up 1100 on Sundays, Newstalk is quite good imho compared to RTE1.

It should be pointed out that 104s drive programme is longer than 98s so naturally its reach figure is going to be higher. However, Knobby is doing a good job on 104 drive I'll certainly give him that.

Haven't seen them all yet, but understand that in 2fm the breakfast show is down 3k, G Ryan down 11k, Will Leahy down 11k, Michael Cahill down 20k and Rick O'Shea up 2k.
The media embargo is until 5pm today.

Rick has tweeted that he believes that his show is the only one on the way up. This should also be the first look at how i105-107 is getting on. Where is the most non biased place on the internet to see this figures?

Oh dear for Galway Bay FM. I reckon the majority of those losses were probably to i102-104 rather then any national station, (although I'd expect to see that 4FM is probably taking some chunks out of GBFM as well) Keith Finnigan needs to do some thinking.

    Joe Duffy up 21,000
    Ryan tubridy up 18,000
    Pat Kenny up 18,000
    Ray D'Arcy down 7,000

For G. Ryan to be down only 11,000 after all the outrage surrounding him acting the maggot over the paycut proves the man is bomb-proof....lol

The large rise in Duffy's figures can be probably explained by the nations thirst for the blood of this government. And, to be fair, rightly so.

Everyone knows that if the morning papers have a story about ministerial incompetence, big business dig-out scandals or quango tangos (which they do now, every day.) then Liveline is going to lead with it come the afternoon.

Can't believe Eamon Keane is up this year again. Prick.

Maybe people tune in to vent anger at the radio...

His replacement is no better, John Keogh. Equally as smug.

And can't believe Matt Cooper is down so much. Though he is still yards ahead Hook.
