Not so much, liverpool been pushing on a lot at times, but Boro have offered plenty too, looking very dangerous on the break.

Theres been a few streams posted so you can watch. you dont even need software for the ones mike posted on the previous page.

Watching Setanta over the stream, i cant see anything other then the Apres Match skits anymore!

best chance was probably downing, but he has even less of a right foot than I thought.

I hope Downing puts on a good performance but not that good resulting in Benitez putting in an offer for him.

the midfield of xabi and gerrard dpesnt inspire me,masch will settle those defensive issues but it will mean stevie to the right hopefully.

WTF? How can he give a free out for that? Foot up my hole. If Huth wasnt there then Torres is allowed volley it but Huth dives in at waist height so Torres has to give it up? How does that work?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,727 ✭✭✭✭Sherifu

Huth got a fair whack in fairness but Torres had every right to go for it too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Torres didn't get the ball and kicked him. No contact with the ball + contact with the player = foul

But you dont get a free for gettign a fair whack when a stiker is shooting. It doesnt turn into a free because he stuck his head in there.

Huth stuck his head over Torres foot and got there first, how can Torres not catch him when he is swinging for a shot?

The ref gave the easy option cos Huth was on the ground.

Liverpool can't work corners at all. How many is that we've had so far?

you probably do if the defender nicks the ball away and the striker kicks and hits the defender after the ball is gone.

    Babel's on soon - Yay!

lol at Macari and what he thought would be Babels obvious instructions. "Use your pace, get to the by-line and whip those balls in"...not exactly Babel's forte, to say the least...

**** me thats a goal and a half.

You don't stop those shots, but he never shoulda got that space.

I take back nearly everything bad I said about Southgate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

Rafa should give the nod early to start the "batter down the opposition goal for the last 3 mins and nearly score 8 times" play.Might actually score a goal if we do it for a full 15 mins.

F*ck sake!!! I was about to type just before the goal that i could see a Boro goal coming. They deserved that as well. You can't argue with a win for Boro if they get it. Liverpool have been so flat today.
We need to be winning this. Dropping points in this game is a continuation from last season.

Are pool playing badly lads, watched the first half?

    Was the goal any good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

    That was a peno!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

Is Macari blind or what? "did it hit Huth's hand? not for me". :) In fairness though, he'd only seen 2 replays at that stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,434 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Close from Gerrard. A peno would have been harsh imo.

Nobody is particuarly playing badly. The system just isn't working. Not strong enough defensively. Not working together attacking wise.

Little anemic. Possession but little penetration. Their goal was a cracker and they've played well on the break.

Liverpools team looks a little disgruntled, they front two don't seem to have made that connection yet. It'll probably take another few games before it starts to click...

I'm expecting Matt Le Tissier to shout 'GOAL!' any second now.
