Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've spotted a white commercial '99 VW T4 with barndoors.

I'm working for the family business and could use a company car/ van for occasional light duty pitching and shunting but I was wondering if it would be possible to convert something like this into a camper/ Surf Bus while still maintaining it as a 3 seater road legal, signwritten, company owned/ company financed commercial vehicle.

Would it be costly? How does one go about it??

Dont know about conversion but check out the campers section on ebay for ideas. There are loads of VW transporters that look like work vans but still have seats in the back

Fit some tie-down rails along the floor and side of the vehicle, build your own "furniture" and take it in and out as needed, tying it to the rails rather than screwing it down.

or get your hands on some of this stuff: http://www.sortimo.co.uk/news-41.html

I think any permanent fixtures in the rear could land you in trouble. BUT, who would know. Ya could just throw in a matress for the weekends. :D

I imported a 29 year old VW panel van a few ago. Rock and roll bed, TV and huge speakers in the back. I removed everything to make it a panel van again when going to VRT it.

It's not possiable to get camper insurance on a van with commercial logo on the side.

That's the thing- It would be a signwritten commecial vehicle, fueled, insured, maintained, used and owned by the company.... with a few extra luxuries, though.
