    Are Plastic Bars used?

I've never really heard of them being used.
I have a new piercing on my hand, and my piercer used one,

Is it good, bad or indifferent?

Are you sure it's plastic? Plastic should never be used in a fresh piercing, sounds like it's more likely to be teflon.

Could be PTFE, and that'd be common enough, but usually for piercings that have already healed, although I have heard of new piercings being done with PTFE too. (Teflon is just PTFE made by DuPont)

No, not at all Gauge, I couldn't if I tried! :D

Just tryin to jog the OP's memory, if the piercer used the name PTFE!

    *grovels and apologises*

I just googled it there, had a gawk at the images.
Yeah, its teflon/ptfe.... i.e all good.
    Thanks

He's pierced a few bits and bobs for me, so I think he just called it plastic. Handier and all that.

am, what colour is this " PTFE "??

I got a piercing today with a different flexiable bar. Not the plastic) like usually.
    It was black-ish?

Sorry now for going on about this

It's usually white-ish... but as it's a kind of plastic, can be coloured.
