    This is pathetic.

Is this the new IRFU policy of charging €50 to anyone, but only providing tickets to people who work at a PC?

Its all very well getting 10 mins at 9am to grab your tickets, but what about the lads who can't stay in the office on the whim of the supporters club until 10am 11am 2pm tonight sometime.

Yeah it's a tad annoying, I got up early especially :)

Now I can't very well be alt tabbing to see if the site is working or not, if there's nothing happening at 11am, I'll have to leave it.

They've closed the forum as well :)

This is a complete disaster - they should seriously postpone this.

Incompetence to defer from 9 to 10, to 11. I pity the poor webmaster - give him a break to sort it out.

The last ticket sale was via ticket master as far as I remember, this seems to use a new IRFU system or this php form passes info to somewhere else.
No. Last year's sale was NOT via ticketmaster. It was the exact same system being utilised now.

I sent them an email stating the packages I was trying to get. Will try again at 11 though. Super pathetic effort on their part.

I had to go into a meeting at half nine. Meeting was only meant to be for 15 mins but ran and ran. Was sure when I came out I'd missed the sale so was relieved to hear it was postponed until 11. Hope it goes ahead at 11 because I can't keep ducking out of things all day

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,506 ✭✭✭Jackz

New message: Ticket packages will be available from 11am on Thursday 28th August.

They are no longer sincerly apologetic.

Every year they try this every year it's a disaster. every year they blame the excessive levels of demand they only see on this one day of the year...

Simply put - Don't over the service lads if you can't make it work...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,577 ✭✭✭Colm_OReilly

Right, I got a mail from Secway telling me the sale was successful, but I've not got a confirmation page. Should I presume I have the tickets?

I got a mail from paypoint, a mail from irfu, and a confirmaiton page. Wouldn't worry about the confirmation page as long as you get the mail from irfu- they are the same. If you don't, contact site admins..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Just hit refresh on the secpay thing if it stalls, it will resend your info, thats how I got mine.

Have the confirmation email as well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14 RoxysMom

I hope so I got the same email, geez I printed off that email as proof your order number is on it

As you say that Im doing another complete now:

    b) It still saying my order is incomplete on the Buy Tickets page.

Yes, a lovely touch neatly encapsulating the complete shambles they made of this.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 240 ✭✭Pshan

Total mess - no lessons learnt by IRFU from last year, still they don't care they have off-loaded the few tickets they had and damn the supporters.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,073 ✭✭✭jamieh

I have an e-mail from SecPay with the status saying Sale - Okay.

Still no sign of an IRFU e-mail!

Does this mean that the money has been taken but I haven't got tickets??

Edit: Just got a second e-mail from sec saying another payment went through. So have now paid twice and still no tickets!

The payment didn't go through the first time so I did it again and now I have two e-mails wtf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

A lot of negativity here rabble rabble

For complete orders, you should have two emails

    1. from IRFU - Your Order Confirmation - with an order number and details
    2. from SEC-Order (paypoint.net) with an invoice for the total amount

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,169 ✭✭✭Grawns

    Got the email too. Phew!
But only from SEC? Jaysus this is stressful.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 380 ✭✭future_plans

Only have an email from Paypoint...none from IRFU yet...hope it comes...or that the other is sufficient!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 460 ✭✭JWAD

If you got a SecPay confirmation, your purchase went through.
