Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone else returning to UCD, older and wiser (ehem), to do Masters?

After four years in UCD (one not so good year (first arts), one year in Rome and two brilliant years) I am returning to do my Masters.

Have I lost my marbles one might ask?

So I was just wondering if anybody else out there is also scratching their head, wondering where their marbles are? And because I am doing my Masters do I have to be more serious? Is drinking in the student bar at 3pm on the first day of term best avoided?

The masters is in Media and International Conflict in the Clinton Institute and I am actually looking forward to getting stuck in (a sign that my carefree student days are actually over?)

So I was just wondering, is there any other Masters students out there? And are we allowed to have fun during Freshers Week?

I'm also back for my fifth year. I fully intend on having as much fun as I did every other year this year, it not more, because at least now I don't have to make it to lectures the next day!

Though I could be wrong but first day of term often sees some postgrads in teh forum rather than the student bar....

I'm coming back for my fourth year in UCD, doing a Masters in Sociology (MSocSc).

I'm back for a Masters and I intend to do more drinking and partying than ever before as well as putting a bit of work in.

This is my 6th year in UCD and I don't have a degree yet (I'm going into 4th year), I must seriously be some kind of masochist.

Its m fifth year and my 2nd masters,I'm only in two days so I definitely think it'll be less stressful than 3rd year arts :)

Starting year five, to do a PhD after 4 year degree. So, I'm looking at... 7 years here at least?

Well looking at your recent distaste of the Green Party, I suggest you join The Kevin Barry Cumann (KBC) in UCD.

As a real cynic I must ask you to explain why the KBC is the one to suggest, other than the obvious reasons !
