Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A work P.C that I use (XP with IE6) has become very slow lately. If I open Task manager, I see that under the performance tab, that the CPU usage is always high and at times is 100%. Also the page file usage history is high also.

I then looked at the process tab on Task Manager, and I can see that there are 3 wscript.exe, each one contributing alot to CPU usage.

Should I have 3 wscript.exe applications running and/or can I close 2 of them and leave the other running?

wscript runs scripts (like vbscripts), used to run a series of commands... certain programs might use it, but sounds like something is wrong if these are running all the time taking up cpu cycles.

I'd say close them, see if anything stops working, maybe run hijackthis, see if there are any unusual items listed, if you see any .vbs files, that could be the scripts running

you really should keep internet explorer up to date, its a prime target for malware enthusiasts. Its likely something has infected your machine. Always keep your software up to date to ensure you have the best protection. For extra security though I recommend firefox altogether.
