    Hi Folks,

Just looking for info as the whether or not roasting/ toasting pumpkin and sunflower seeds destroys their nutrional value.

I have a 3 year old and a Wife who love these seeds when toasted, but aren't too impressed if they're not.

Does everyone always wash their seeds before using them straight from the pack?

Out if interest, using a pestle & mortar I grind up a mix of pumpkin, sunflower, linseed, sesame, wheatgerm and wheat bran into a fairly fine powder. I can then put this into my kids' food without too much screaming and shouting about 'green bits'! ;) We call them 'grobbles' ( I'm sure I heard it somewhere, but can't remember.

    Bye for now,
    Rich
