well, they are fitting track lists for a pub I suppose as they both read like the musical equivalent of beer and crisps, has wide appeal, goes down easy and wont offend the uneducated palate.

Galway Girl? Are you actually being serious here?!? if I here that song one more time in a bar or club, I will kill someone!
Whats worse is if they play it as the final song of the night and the the ****ing culchies go mad for it!! Hate it so so much!

Same with Dont Stop Believeing. Turned into a right culchie song.

Dont even get me started with Aslan!

I'll paraphrase a classic drinking song when I say:

"I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just so I dont have to hear that song being sung by culchies falling on the floor"

They were pretenders alright, they tried to pretend they could write decent songs.

    But its still a classic.

I played in a pub near Dingle a few times during the summer, the songs people wanted to hear were usually along the lines of

Galway Girl, Wonderwall, (Good Riddance) Time of Your Life, Cannon Ball, Stacey's Mom, She Hates Me, She Moves in Her Own Way, Hey There Delilah, Dancing In The Moonlight (the awful Toploader one), Sweet Home Alabama, Ring of Fire, etc.

Put simply, the same old stuff we've heard too many times before, most of which was always terrible, some of which was once loved but now is hated due to over-play.
