    Hi all,

I am having a lot of problems with my current rig, I have been stuck with little choice but to wipe the drives twice and start over again. This has been after Vista has updated to SP1, so I assumed that it was a driver conflict or something.

However I have disabled any updates since my last re-install, but I am getting a BSOD, which 9 time out of 10 will disappear as soon at it flashes up due to the PC power cycling. Today I have managed to get a pic of the BSOD as the PC didn't cycle.

I am thinking it is a hardware issue now but have no idea what the error message relates to, anyone here have any ideas?

    OS: Vista 64 Home Premium
    CPU: Core 2 Due E6700
    Mainboard: Intel Bad Axe 2
    Ram: Crosair XPSII 2x2Gb
    graphics: HIS ATI X1950pro

It could also be cause by an interuption of the page file, by hardware failure or other means. Since it is a new machine I would think it more likely that it is a hardware fault. Microsoft has a page on how to resolve this issue.

Thanks for the help Sink, could be a problem with HDD's so, must check them out, only problem is that page only refers to XP or Windows 2000. Hope it's the same for Vista.

maybe one of you memory sticks has gone bad, try booting your machine with one stick and then the other.

tried that, ran mem tests as well with just 1 module in, then swapped around and did the same again, couldn't find any problems, and the PC didn't crash either, it's a bit of a weird problem was the PC seems to fall over at completly random times.
