Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all,

Just pondering on the idea of a self build house.
Has anyone any tips on searching for a site & has anyone ever approched a farmer or some sort of land owner & just offered X amount of euro for a portion of his land to build ( is this legal ) & could it save a few quid.

Yeah of course its legal to approach a farmer and ask them to sell you a site - that's what most people do in rural areas - obviously you would agree to buy subject to getting your planning, which is the hard bit.
