Switching courses in the first semester?

I'm having second thoughts about my course and was wondering if it's ever possible to switch courses, presumably only allowable in the first semester (or even week or two)? The course I'm thinking about changing to was on my CAO list if that helps. And I'm eligible for it in terms of points/grades. Hope someone can help.…
