    oh mom check out some flowers i shot earlier, SERIOUSLY !?

    When I have friends over, and I want to show my photos, I put them on my PS3, and then display them on my 40" TV.

    Showing quality images on a large screen (using HDMI) is a very impressive way to show your photos.

    Certainly not a gimmick.

    Lets face it, almost everyone postedits, plus not all of the photos are worth showing, its more of great feature for small compact cams, where you have photos from nights out etc.
    Ofcourse you can select what images to show on ps3, slideshows etc etc which is why its better using other mediums such as that

    True, true, but let's face it, most SLRs have had a direct print interface/button and options for a long time, and very very few people print direct from the SLR.

    A similar waste of space/functions.
