Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jaysus!! Coventry 2 - 1 down at home to Newcastle. 2 mins of extra time signaled and they equalize with 93.33 on the clock - powerful header from the skipper after a booming long throw into the box. Hope they win it now!!

Watched the 1st half of Newky, they went 2-0 and were just strolling around, then suddenly Clint the Pimp bends one in to make it 2-1

Id put money on Owen scoring in extra time.

Great to see that goal being scored. Nothin like a bit of controversy. Great drama for the throw too. ****ing the chair out of the way to clear space for a good run in for the throw. Love it!:pac:

Bolton losing 2-1 at home to Northampton, into injury time at the end of 90 mins.

    Other premiership teams in trouble

    Hartlepool 1 WBA 1 (ET)
    Swansea 1 Hull 1 (ET)

    watford drawing one all.

Leeds 4 Palace 0. Leeds had 8 new faces on, while Palace had 10 of their starting lineup last Saturday:D

sorry bout the typo lloyd! :)

Yeah great game. Coventry have been the masters at getting goals in injury time at the end of each half. If that header had gone in it would have meant 3 goals in injury time at the end of each period of play in the game!

In other news its Swansea 2 Hull 1

Including a 16 and a 17 year old. Our three strikers got goals including Luciano Becchio the Argentinian wonder. Oh how I wish for Man U at Elland Road in round 3.

    Great game.

Newcastle closed it out well in the 2nd half of extra time. Coloccinni absolutely destroyed at the back - Morrison, McKenzie and Mifsfud not getting a look in against him. Obviously he'll face a different calibre of player on Saturdays. I thought Gutierrez also looked like a good signing - seems like a player who is athletic and willing to get stuck in.

A lot of their potential for the year probably rests on whether Owen and Given can stay fit and in form for most of the season.

As far as Coventry is concerned it was all hustle and bustle - it is easy to see why Morrison and Doyle can make an impact in the Championship but aren't solutions for Ireland. They worked hard and did well to keep at it but the best team won in the end.

I'm really pleased I decided to watch Newcastle and Coventry. It was a cracking game of football and Morrisson scored a real beauty. I was impressed with Newcastle. They look a decent outfit.

Whats the story with the moaning about the amount of injury time(just watching the highlights) in the Newcastle game from people who really should know better ? The commentator was saying it and Keegan was waving three fingers about.

I mean it's cleary announced as " a MINIMUM of x minutes" nowhere does it say that thats all the ref is allowed to add. All it means is that the 4th official has added up that thats the least amount that should be added on. The ref has his own count on things and adds what he sees fit over that amount.

I've seen it come up loads of times and always does my head in.

Blackburn 3-1 up after the early scare. Villanueva making his debut tonight and running the show according to reports. He has scored and set one up and was involved in the other one. Matt Derbyshire having a great game as well, giving the manager plenty to think about, Benni McCarthy could be dropping to fourth choice.
