In their mock up of Belfast, they had a car driving on the wrong side of the road.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,781 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Hahahaha classic! I was trying to keep an eagle eye to see if it was really Belfast or not
(I heard they did filming up there.)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,476 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

No way. That would be done on a set in a studio back lot.

    That scene perhaps
but they were in Northern Ireland to film some scenes.

Just watched it there, feckin' great stuff! Show goes from strength to strength. Didn't see that ending coming!

Brilliant first episode to the new Series! That ending was completely unexpected. Looking forward to next weeks show to see were this goes.
I'm shocked that they killed off Hale

Awesome stuff, I nearly forgot just how great this show is. Very unexpected ending. Lots of stuff brewing in the background too, should be an interesting season.

    Couple of questions tho:
Anyone else think Gemma's dad's minder will grass up Gemma to bag that 10k reward?

Did Jax actually kill the drive-by shooter, or just seriously injure him? Can't see how the law could overlook a murder charge, especially with that politician guy at the scene. He made his opinions clear on Samcro anyway...

so there i was thinking....well that was a typical start of season opener nothing of any major importan.....OMFG!!! WTF just happened!!! this show just keeps delivering!

Yeah i spotted that but i wasnt sure if it was deffinitely meant o be Ireland or not

Slow start but a great ending. I'm not spoilering this because the thread title says Spoilers.

It did look like Belfast streets but him entering the warehouse could have been anywhere. I didn't take much notice of Gemma's dad's minder but RVD420 could be right about her calling the cops. Maybe not though as she knows that all he has left now is his daughter.

That ending was great. It's probably the Aryans our for revenge. I didn't expect Hale to die either. If Jax did kill that guy then I can't see him getting off easily. Hale's politician brother could be out for revenge now and smooth it over.

I can't wait for agent Stahl to get what she deserves.

disaster after disaser for jacks, how can how much bad stuff happen round him, kidnapped baby, dead prospect, killer mother on the run, tried to steer them away from gun running and got the porn queen killed, now shot up kids etc

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,818 ✭✭✭Minstrel27

I hope that he goes all out looking for revenge.

Didnt spot the car on the wrong side of the street, but they defo did shoot in Belfast.
One thing that i did notice that i thought was odd was that the door on the apartment he went to opened outwards instead of the standard innie.

Great episode though, dont think that Jax will get in any bother as the cops pretty much stood back and let him put the smack down on the drive-byer.
Not sure that Hale is dead though, i'm sure we'll find out on tonights episode.

Bravo will be gone from UPC also. It is being shut down completely. Expect shows like Sons of Anarchy to end up on Sky One.

Really good episode. The Priest will definitely bee the one to watch. He seems to be the leader of the cell. Its funny because it just came out about that priest's involvement in the IRA bombings in the 70's, link here.

Hale is gone so the chief will be here for a while now. Jax was lucky he only beat up that guy. We know it was The Mayan's who did it now and how weak the Sons are at the moment.

Jimmy's either protecting the IRA's relationship with the Sons or has something else in mind for not telling them about Cameron not being back in Belfast. Jimmy's meeting with the Priest will be good next week. What are the going to do about Abel? Bring him back to the states and say they caught Cameron trying to get back home?

The Sons lead up north will probably mean that they find out Jimmy kept the truth from them and will lead to a conflict.

I doubt it. Living is geared towards the women folk. Sky One all the way imo.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/sep/15/bravo-channel-one-bdkyb

BSkyB is to close Bravo and general entertainment station Channel One, putting more than 50 jobs at risk, as part of the integration of Living TV Group.
BSkyB has decided to focus on the Living TV channel portfolio, which will see a 25% boost to its programming budget, and the gameshow and quiz channel Challenge.
Living TV Group, which is home to shows including Grey's Anatomy, Britain's Next Top Model and Sons of Anarchy, currently employs 110 staff. There will be just 58 roles after integration, but it is understood that there are a significant number of positions potentially available in other parts of the BSkyB operation.
BSkyB is understood to have decided to jettison Bravo, which launched as a cable channel in 1985, because it reaches a similar demographic to Sky1 but is not believed to have the same brand equity or reach.
BSkyB is backing Living TV because, outside of sport, it is second only to Sky1 in popularity among its basic pay-TV channels. BSkyB has failed to target the female market as successfully as Living TV, which has a two-year deal with Katie Price. Sky closed its own attempt to target a female audience, Sky Real Lives, earlier this year.
It was decided that Channel One, which was rebranded from Virgin 1 in August following BSkyB's acquisition of Living TV Group for £160m in July, was too similar to Sky3, which it sits alongside as a free-to-air channel on Freeview.
BSkyB intends to "redeploy" the channels' programming, with pay-TV shows moving to other Sky channels and free-to-air fare mostly moving to Sky3.
Bravo is home to shows including Spartacus, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Sons of Anarchy. Spin-off channel Bravo 2 will also disappear. BSkyB has not said what it intends to do with the channel slot.
Challenge will move free-to-air in Channel One's slot, which will effectively double its audience reach, as BSkyB looks to grow its presence in quizzes and gameshows. There are longer-term possibilities of tie-ups with Sky Bet.
Staff have been informed of the integration plans this afternoon with all staff, including the Living TV Group managing director, Jonathan Webb, under review.
The review has been carried out by Sophie Turner Laing, the managing director of entertainment, news and broadcast operations at BSkyB.
"Content is at the heart of Sky's strategy," she said. "Living is already one of the best pay-TV channels around and is obviously a great fit with our existing channels like Sky1. There is so much potential for further development and we intend to increase on-screen investment in Living by around a quarter as part of our expanded channel portfolio. This is a big part of our plans to bring customers great content from channel brands that really cut through."
BSkyB moved quickly to announce the integration of Living TV Group after being given final clearance by the Office of Fair Trading only yesterday.
The Living TV Group integration adds to what is expected to be a major revamp of BSkyB's entertainment programming after the broadcaster struck a five-year £150m deal for the exclusive UK rights to the entire HBO catalogue of shows including The Wire, True Blood and The Sopranos.

I was reading somewhere that there will be an involement with the Sons Of Anarchy Bellfast charter(SAMBELL).
My Guess would be that there is a major fued between the IRA and SAMBEL with the involement of Clay and Jax of course

Quite a bit happening this week. Convenient that there is a Belfast chapter of the Sons :) I am guessing that they will all be heading to Belfast now instead of Canada.

I did laugh at the calmness of yer man hired to dispose of the dead care worker. The request of 80's music made me laugh.
